How to donate furniture...

If you have good quality used furniture that you no longer want, you can donate it to FARA (Whitton) We will collect it for free and make it available for sale in our shop. Please call our friendly team of staff at the Whitton shop on tel: 0208 8982823. You will be asked about the items you have to donate and a time arranged to pick them up from you; in most cases we can arrange for collection to take place at a time convenient to you.

We need donated furniture to be in good condition. We take dining suites, tables, chests of drawers, dressing tables, sofas and armchairs, beds without mattresses, wardrobes, coffee tables and all sorts of wooden furniture.

Please note:
  • All upholstered furniture must have 'fire tags' attached. On sofas and armchairs this will read - "complies with the furniture and furnishings (fire) (safety) regulations 1988" and/or "this item does not require a schedule 3 interliner".

  • Our drivers are carefully briefed as to the standard of furniture we can accept. If he assesses that the furniture is not useable for our needs, he is given the authority to leave it behind. We apologise for this in advance. We are a small charity, keeping our costs to a minimum and cannot afford to take items that we cannot use.
