The Shop Manager’s main duty is to run the Shop effectively.
The ideal candidate would be expected to:
Lead by example, recruiting, provide shop cover with Area Manager support, supervise; motivate staff and volunteers to assist in the various duties in the shop, encourage a positive team spirit between staff, to meet sales targets, allocate tasks, delegate, follow up, train staff and volunteers, implement and communicate directives effectively.
Create and maintain a welcoming ambience, deliver a pleasant shopping experience, deal with customer issues and queries effectively, network with customers and the local community, follow the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
Other duties comprise: Paperwork and admin, Gift Aid (signup and processing), sorting donations, steaming of clothes, pricing, displays, till handling, cashing up, manual handling, maintaining a clean tidy and safe working environment.
