assistant manager


The Assistant Manager’s main duty is to support the Shop Manager in the running of the Shop The ideal candidate would be expected to:

Support the Shop Manager with recruiting, provision of shop cover, supervising; motivate staff and volunteers to assist in the various duties, encourage a positive team spirit, assist in meeting sales targets, allocate tasks, delegate, follow up, train staff and volunteers, implement and communicate directives effectively.

Create and maintain a welcoming ambience, deliver a pleasant shopping experience, deal with customer issues and queries effectively, network with customers and the local community, follow the Company’s Policies and Procedures.

Other duties comprise:
Paperwork, Gift Aid (signup and processing), sorting donations, steaming of clothes, pricing, displays, till handling, cashing up, manual handling, maintaining a clean tidy and safe working environment.
